I will be submitting to the Homestuck music contest.
One thing I’ve seen while browsing submissions is that the Homestuck fanbase has revealed in itself some really talented people. Some of the material that’s shown up for this project is truly creative and wonderful. The contest album is, at its core, about finding fresh new musical vistas for Homestuck, and bringing out-of-the-box thinking and creativity to the comic’s soundtrack. What the fanbase has produced just over the last couple of weeks is truly inspiring to me, and frankly it’s a beautiful thing to see so many people exploring music for themselves, in some cases for the first time.
I couldn’t help but do some exploring for myself, just to be a part of something so magnificent. The audio track attached up there is my submission, the result of forcing myself to try something new and fresh.
To anyone else in the creative process or anyone contemplating trying out music for the first time, I want to encourage you. There is no better time to dip your toe into the musical waters, and no better opportunity to dive into the waves and see what you might find as an artist.
And let me remind you that, as always, the water’s fine!

His stance is just so imbued with youthful pride, and she looks like she's already planning her future with a successful and handsome doctor. After seeing this (and hearing the music!), it's like it sets up a montage of them talking in a cafe and riding through the city in a trolley--you know, before the sham marriage and painful divorce;)

But, WHY! You said about divorce. When I was planning the character of Medic’s wife I thought that he, with such an insane personality, would be very shy and silent at home. That makes her a really bossy person. I think the frustration is the reason he lost the medical license, started to make up plans for medigun (all by night, imagine: “Fritz, it’s 1 a.m. already, come to the bed, goddamnit!”), and finally join Team Fortress, without splitting. Besides, all I am relying upon with the whole Medic’s wife story is Demoman’s domination line: “DOMINATED! And I been shaggin’ yer wife! Ahah!”. The conclusion about the divorce is obvious :)
